Debaters Dirk Forester of the International Emissions Trading Commission and former advisor in the Clinton Administration (on left) and Michael Dorsey of Dartmouth, and a campaign advisor to President Obama. According to tcktcktck.org, Forester is the Managing Director of Natsource LLC, an environmental fund management and advisory firm. He was previously Chairman of the White House Climate Change Task Force President Clinton and the energy program manager at Environmental Defense Fund. Dorsey is assistant professor in Dartmouth College’s Environmental Studies Program and the Director of the College’s Climate Justice Research Project which supports research on how emerging carbon markets shape justice-based climate policies. He works on issues of international equity, politics of biodiversity and environmental justice with a focus on Amazonia. Dr. Dorsey serves a co-founding board member of Islands First and from April 2007 until November 2008 Dr. Dorsey served as a member of Senator Barack Obama’s energy and environment Presidential campaign team.
