Cancun Embraces Wind Power

In honor of COP16, Cancun's electric company installed a 1.5MW windmill, capable of supplying over 2,000 homes with electricity.  Most participants see the windmill as they approach the Cancunmesse. Not a common sight in Mexico, a local resident, Carlos, noted that for weeks it wasn't actually running. The joke was that perhaps it had to be "plugged in."
